Mary Luke Tobin is a sister of Loretto who has spent more than seventy years in religious life.

She was the first American woman auditor at the Second Vatican Council, and a friend of Thomas Merton. She served as the President of the Loreto Community and has been active in peace and justice ministries.

Here she talks about her life and the role of women in the Church today.

Sr. Mary Luke Tobin died on August 24, 2006 at the age of 98. She was 88 in 1996 when we filmed this interview. She was delightful and enthusiastic.
